If you are a thriller/crime fan , looking for much suspense that will keep you saying 'whaat' and 'how is that' out loud in your favourite quiet cozy chair more than once , then this book is absolutely your sought-after.

And then there were none is one of Agatha Christie's best and most known novels . It's basically about 10 people who were invited by a person they don't really know called U.N Owen and who they will never see , to a remote island under false pretences when a gramophone starts playing a speech after their arrival in which they realize that they are all about to be punished by death for the crimes that they have committed in the past and have gotten away with.

The ten guests are the only ones in the island, and suddenly they start dying , someone is killing them off one by one in accordance to the Ten Little Indians rhyme :

“Ten little Indian boys went out to dine; One choked his little self and then there were nine.
Nine little Indian boys sat up very late; One overslept himself and then there were eight.
Eight little Indian boys travelling in Devon; One said he'd stay there and then there were seven.
Seven little Indian boys chopping up sticks; One chopped himself in halves and then there were six.
Six little Indian boys playing with a hive; A bumblebee stung one and then there were five.
Five little Indian boys going in for law; One got in Chancery and then there were four.
Four little Indian boys going out to sea; A red herring swallowed one and then there were three.
Three little Indian boys walking in the Zoo; A big bear hugged one and then there were two.
Two little Indian boys sitting in the sun; One got frizzled up and then there was one.
One little Indian boy left all alone; He went and hanged himself and then there were none.”

Each guest dies matching the line from the poem resulting mistrust and over-meticulousness and suspect . I thoroughly enjoyed this whodunit , and I couldn't figure out what was going on and the end was just greatly unexpected and left me in an utter disbelief and had me saying whaaat??!
There are so many twists and turns, i just couldn't stop running my eyes in disbelief . There's always one more delicious WHAAAAT? or OH NOOO around the bend, and each one makes you appreciate just how tricky murder can be .

I insist that NOBODY comes anywhere close to Christie when it comes to creating a complicated exciting and hard-deciphering mystery . I like how she doesn't have to write a 400 page novel with a massive back story, her mysteries are often very simply put together but always clever and hard to decipher.
Agatha has this incredible skill of making the reader feel like they know or predict what is about to happen, but then completely reverses these expectations and throws a new curveball into play. This novel is full of twists and turns, and I found that I could never accurately predict what was going to happen. There’s so much suspense packed in it . I was on the edge of my seat so often whilst reading this.

I didn't wanna get into more details because it can't be done without spoiling the story . It's just pure fun, a very clever novel, full of mystery and suspense and easily quite frightening at times . If you are a mystery fan, you must read this. If you've never read Agatha Christie, this must be your first before you tackle Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot.

Overall, And Then There Were None is a very clever novel ,a thriller that will definitely keep your pulse pounding. Scary and full of mystery , suspense , and surprises ,and just when you think you know what's going on it veers in a completely different direction. It was the perfect recipe of imperfect characters and ludicrous timing that kept me captivated throughout and the ending is a master-stroke .
